The façade of an office building from the 1990s facing the inner courtyards is to be renovated in terms of energy efficiency and the
and improve the quality and usability of the inner courtyards.
The new façade is based on the existing office grid and is horizontally structured:
On the two upper floors, an aluminium construction with shading elements is placed in front of the new wooden façade. On the two lower floors, which are orientated towards the courtyards and the connecting building, the structure in front is made of wood and the grid is halved.
In this way, the façade responds to the different requirements: on the upper floors it is rational, in the courtyards it contributes to an inviting appearance.
